Dr. Gooi graduated from Medicine at the University of Western Ontario. He completed residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Manitoba. Dr. Gooi continued his training with fellowships in Nose & Sinus Surgery and Pediatric Otolaryngology. During this time, he also completed a Masters in Medical Education. He worked at the University Manitoba holding positions as the Director of Online Learning and the Director of Otolaryngology for undergraduate medical education. Dr. Gooi has won multiple teaching awards for innovation, education, and mentorship. He holds committee appointments at the local, national and international level. He has multiple publications and academic presentations in interactive learning, educational technology, and surgical education. He is Canadian Board Certified and has affiliations with the BC, Canadian, and American Societies of Otolaryngology.
Dr. Gooi has recently moved to BC and loves the strong community of families in the Tri-Cities. He is delighted to join the office based practices in Coquitlam and New Westminster, serving patients from around British Columbia.
